I love Carlisle, Pa. It really is an awesome small town and every time I would go out to a First Friday event or festival downtown, I would think how great it would be if I could have a business and be a part of that, too. I had considered several business ideas before I settled on this one. The idea to start a ghost tour business in Carlisle hit me one night while I was lying in bed. I have no idea where the thought came from, it was just suddenly there. Once it was there, there was no getting rid of it. I love history and I've always loved ghost tours, honestly I can't believe I didn't think of this sooner. When I got up the next morning I knew instantly who would be on board with this endeavor, and who would love to run it with me, my friend Courtney. Starting this tour company gave us an excuse to research loads of Carlisle history, it's been great learning new things about our town. Our vision has quickly expanded from ghost tours into tours of the many other awesome things Carlisle has to offer.
I am a wife and stay at home mother of two. I am a photographer, a crocheter, avid DIYer and someone who throws myself head first into whatever new project I want to try. My favorite thing to say is "I can do stuff," I love trying new things (like making historical clothing!). This tour business is my latest "I can do stuff" adventure and I'm excited to see where it goes.

The first time I saw Carlisle’s historic district I knew I was home. My husband and I had traveled all over while he was on active duty in the Marine Corps so I could make a life just about anywhere but Carlisle immediately felt like forever. It wasn’t until I started researching my genealogy for my Daughters of the American Revolution application that I found that my family had called this part of Pennsylvania home for almost 300 years—since 1734!
My passion for history began early and served to fuel a curiosity that carried me through a Bachelor’s degree in History and a Master’s degree in International Relations...but I needed something a bit more practical so I went back for an MBA as well! After working in the accounting world for three years I was desperate to get back to my first love, and that’s when Jennifer came up with the amazing idea of a ghost tour business! I was on board immediately and we’ve been digging through Carlisle’s fascinating, lurid, tragic, and oftentimes bloody past ever since!
When I’m not walking the streets in a corset and hoop skirt, you’ll find me at home with my husband, two daughters, and three giant dogs—undoubtedly working on my novel, painting, or sewing something new to wear on next week’s tour!
